Getting to Know Windows SandBox and How to Activate It
Microsoft introduced a new feature released in Windows 10 insider build 18305, which is Windows Sandbox. Windows Sandbox is a desktop environment created to run or test applications without affecting the Windows system. To run Windows Sandbox, you don’t need to download a VHD because it’s all part of Windows 10 Pro and Enterprise. When run, Windows in the Sandbox is like a fresh installation from windows, no modifications, no 3rd party apps, and everything is default. When closed, all modifications you made to Windows in the Windows Sandbox will be completely lost.
Steps:
1. Enter “Control Panel”, select “Programs and Features”, then select “Turn Windows Features On or Off”
2. Search for “Windows Sandbox” then tick and select “Ok”
3. Wait until the installation process is complete
4. After that, restart your computer/laptop
5. Type in the search field “Windows Sandbox”, select “Allow Administrator Permissions”
6. Enjoy using!
Notes:
Only available on the latest Windows 10 version, namely build 18305, for more detailed information about Windows Sanbox, see Windows Sandbox.
