How to Make a Hotspot From Wifi That We Use Through CMD

Creating a hotspot from the wifi that we use can be said to work almost the same as a Wifi Repeater, but the difference is that this is a hotspot type. For those of you who feel far from the wifi zone, you can use this method so that the wifi range can be wider (broader in another sense, yes), then just refer to the following tutorial.

Steps:

1. Open CMD by right clicking “Run as Administrator”
2. Type the following command:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=hotspotname keys=password 8 letters

3. Then type the command:

  • netsh wlan start hostednetwork, to run hotspot
  • netsh wlan stop hostednetwork, to turn off the hotspot

4. Until here it’s not finished, the next step is to open “Open network and sharing center”

5. Click on the network that we are currently using, then select “Properties”

6. Go to the “Sharing” tab, then check “Allow other network users . . .”

7. Select “Wireless Network Connection 2”, then click “Ok”

8. Done, now try to connect the Hotspot that was created earlier with another cellphone/laptop

9. For those who don’t want to bother opening CMD to turn on the hotspot, you can use an application to turn it on, namely Virtual Router, Connectify, mHotspot, etc.

Notes:

1. If it’s still No Network or No Internet Access, try at no.7 select Local Area Connection 2. Or you can try it yourself in that section until it becomes Internet Access
2. For CMD, you can close it after running the command “netsh wlan start hostednetwork”
3. If you turn off the laptop then turn it on, to activate the hotspot, just type the command “netsh wlan start hostednetwork”
