How to Add Virtual/Committed RAM With Hard Disk

Virtual or Committed RAM is additional RAM that is used to help the process of running a program, but this Virtual RAM does not fully work like regular RAM. To lighten and help, that is the function of Virtual RAM, some of the effects themselves are felt and some are not felt at all. Like when playing games, you can try the Fps test when adding Virutal RAM and not adding it.

Steps:

1. Right click on My Computer or This PC, then select properties

2. Will enter system info, select “Advanced System Settings”

3. Select the “Advanced” tab, then in the performance section select “Settings…”, in the performance dialog box select “Advanced”, then in the Virtual Memory section select “Change…”

4. Uncheck “Automatically Manage Paging File Size for All Drives”, then select one of the local disks that will be used as Virtual Memory. After selecting the local disk that will be used as Virtual Memory, change from “No paging file” to “Custom Size”.

Enter the desired size, for example Min: 2000 Mb and Max: 4000 Mb (for Maximum Size enter twice). After determining the size you want to change to Virtual Memory, click “Set”, then Ok – ok – ok and restart your computer or laptop.

5. Done

Info :

The size that will be used as Virtual Memory or Virtual RAM, is taken from the size of the hard drive. For example, if used as Virtual Memory Min: 2000 and Max: 4000, then your local disk will be used or filled with 2GB.

The size that you can make Virtual Memory depends on the available/unused free space on your hard drive, for example your hard drive still has 50GB of free space, then you can make it Virtual Memory with Min: 10000 and Max: 20000. Adding Virtual RAM can also make your laptop work smoother or computer.
