How to Change FlashDisk Into Virtual RAM
Changing FD to Virtual RAM or additional RAM, the effect resulting from this virtual RAM is not really felt. However, the resulting performance can also help relieve internal RAM. Apart from that, virtual RAM is also useful for opening programs that are limited to the RAM section.
Steps:
1) Plug the Flash Disk into the Laptop
2) Right click on the FlashDisk and select “Properties”
3) Select the “Ready Boost” menu and change it from “Do not this device” to “use this device”, and
determine how many MB you want to use as virtual ram then “Ok” then wait for the boost to finish.
4) Then “ReadyBoost” will appear and congratulations your Flashdisk has become a virtual ram.
5) If you are using windows 8/10 you can check the virtual ram in the section on the box. The greater the value, the better the computer will work.
Addition :
Not all types of flash drives can be used as Virtual RAM and hard disks can actually be used as Virtual RAM, maybe I will discuss this in the next post.
