How to Enable Vulkan Api on Dota 2 (2023)
Vulkan api is graphical software/I don’t know what it’s called, specifically for low-end computers (if I’m not mistaken). The performance is also higher than DirectX12, you can see the comparison on YouTube. FPS will increase rapidly if you use Vulkan Api, that’s because Vulkan Api is designed to minimize the graphics of the game, but don’t worry, the graphics won’t be blocky like Minecraft, you won’t see the difference. Vulkan fire is not only for the Dota 2 game but there are several other games that support it, but here I will only discuss Dota 2.
How to Activate Vulkan Api in Dota 2:
1. Open and login to steam account
2. Select Library and click Games
3. Right click on Dota 2 then select Properties
4. Click Set Launch Options, then type “-vulkan” (without quotes)
5. Click Ok – Close and finish
It’s easy, right ? remember to make sure your VGA supports Vulkan Api, and also don’t forget to download the Vulkan Api DLC for Dota 2 first
How to Download DLC Vulkan Dota 2 – 2023 updates :
1. Open Steam then click “Library”
2. Right click on the Dota 2 game then select “Properties”
3. Click on the “DLC” tab and tick “Dota 2 – Vulkan Support”
4. It will automatically start downloading the Vulkan DLC for Dota 2, the size is around 400 MB
5. If the download process is complete, you can enter the Dota game to change the rendering to Vulkan
6. Done!
Notes:
It is recommended to use the latest VGA Driver and make sure your VGA supports Vulkan. In some benchmarks Nvidia VGA scores high on Vulkan usage, while AMD VGA scores high on Dx11 usage, but you can test it yourself and determine which one is better for your VGA.
