China Limits Game Curfew for Children!

The Chinese government has issued a new regulation regarding a curfew for playing games for children under the age of 18. This rule is set in view of the effect addicted to playing games it’s been very rampant lately.

The Chinese government limits the time playing games at night for children to 10 pm only.

In addition to limiting the curfew for playing games, the Chinese government also provides a duration limit. Children can only play for 90 minutes on weekdays, and on weekends they can play games for 3 hours.

This policy has been officially issued and has been running since last Tuesday, November 5, 2022. China is one of the countries with the largest game market in the world. So don’t be surprised if the children there are very susceptible to disease game addiction.

In China, children aged 8 to 16 can spend as much as 200 Yuan just on games. If in Rupiah, it means that in one month children in China spend 400 thousand for games.

While teenagers aged 14 to 18 years can spend up to 400 Yuan or the equivalent of 800 thousand per month.

The policies carried out by the Chinese government are indeed good, considering that game addiction is very easy to attack children today. Even the World Health Organization (WHO) has categorized addiction online game as a mental health condition disorder or so-called gaming disorder.

Policies made by the Chinese government must be adhered to by all gamers and online gaming platforms in China. The government is also cooperating with law enforcement in an effort to create a player age verification system that is integrated with Chinese government data.
