Santa Monica Opens Jobs, God of War 2 Will Be Made Soon?
God of War is one of Sony’s most successful franchises to date. The game that tells the story of the god slayer, Kratos, gives a new twist in 2022. It’s been two years since its release, do we have a chance to play the next game.
Indeed, from the ending we got, it was very clearly explained that God of War would make a sequel for sure. But recently good news surfaced on the Internet, is God of War 2 going to be made soon?
Santa Monica Open Job Vacancy
As the headline you read, developer studios often open job openings when working on new projects. This is what Sony Santa Monica did so many fans think that the studio is developing a new God of War game.
Through the Sony Santa Monica Studio site, the developer has posted a job listing for a gameplay camera designer to join the God of War team under certain conditions.
Designers volunteering to “design and implement gameplay cameras and player-controlled camera systems,” “support player navigation, traversal and combat with a keen eye for a combination of composition and usability.” That person will work with the rest of the gameplay and design team to “help create a seamless, seamless player experience.”
The list doesn’t clearly say whether the game will be titled God of War 2, or God of War 5 if it follows the series’ timeline. What is clear, they were not hired to make updates to the game that was released in 2022 because it was already very good.
Not the First Leak from the Studio

For those of you who don’t follow the development of God of War, the teaser above is not the first time Santa Monica has given. An animator for God of War posted a photo in a motion capture suit, indicating that Sony Santa Monica is now in development for a new game in the series.
Director Cory Barlog also joked that the photos shared were not for God of War 2. Instead of believing it, fans felt that the project being made was top secret.
There are rumors that Santa Monica is currently working on two new games for the PS5. One of them is of course God of War while the other is a new product. These two games were indeed made together, but there is no confirmation to what extent they have developed and which one will be released first.
